As a 40 something working in media this book hit home with its wit and honesty. A fun read that was tough to put down!
  • A fun update on the classic All About Eve

Thoroughly enjoyed this Fashion meets Tech world romp. The protagonist, Imogen, is likeable, stylish and smart, not at all like the Bette Davis character of yore. Her nemesis, Eve, a former assistant, is deliciously evil, although her ghastly and dastardly actions are definitely a suspension of disbelief. A definite "curl up on the couch and read all afternoon" novel.

I read this book during the great snowstorm of 2016, which it predicts flawlessly. Its depiction of the state of transition in media is also prescient. The heroine is classically (and classily) heroic and the villain is the epitome of evil. This book will make a great movie, hopefully using vertical video, for which it would be the perfect foil!
  • Enjoyable Read!

I thought this book would be a quick, breezy read, but quickly discovered the depth and complexity of the topic and the main character. Ageism was covered well, and really brought up some discussion worthy questions that I've been talking about with friends.

Refreshing to read about what so many of us feel- out of control tech crazies! The book is a balance of crazy, funny, relatable life for us 40 something's in a world of 20 something's. Quick easy read with a lovable character for all ages. The ending is predictable but charming. Great book for vaca!

There was never a dull moment in this book. It was very current, funny and engaging. I even gave my husband the cliff notes verbal version of it and we both agreed this definitely should become a movie. I think Kate Winslett would be awesome as Imogen. :) (just saying) Personally, as a 42 y.o. woman who has worked in techology my whole career, I can REALLY relate to the work place changing with millenials. My only critique would be that Imogen didn’t keep up with technology at ALL while she was out. Most people my age in the corporate world are all on some sort of social media even if it’s just LinkedIn. But other than that, it was a very enjoyable read.
