If I could I would give this book 3.5 stars, I would. I like the world building, the twist at the end and the characters overall. But I felt like there was little to no chemistry between the main characters. Misery and Lowe don’t have any “moments” until like 60ish percent and then bam! It’s like they can’t get enough of each other and what not. I definitely feel like if their relationship developed like the world building this book would’ve been a 5/5.

I adore the feeling of being so entrapped in a book, I have a hard time putting it down and lose track of time. Ali Hazelwood consistently delivers the most binge-worthy books, and this one is no exception! This was a fun spin on some classic tropes with amazing characters and some good twists. Highly recommend!!

Loved it… the story line, the characters and the chemistry!

I’ve read everything Ali Hazelwood has written to date and always enjoy her books. I was hesitant to give this one a try given that it’s more of a fantasy/romance. I love the genre but for some reason the synopsis didn’t immediately draw me in. I found the world building a bit clunky initially but I fell in love with Misery and Lowe. This book is smart, witty, & sexy. I loved the banter. I was sad that it had to end. I really hope there’s going to be a follow up/sequel. Highly recommend!

Honestly a refresher !! I have not read any recent paranormal romances in such a long time. Loved this book so so much!

I hate how slow the book is but when it picked up it was great. I love the love story between Misery and Lowe.

Great story!! Steamy romance, great villain, good story mister, and I can’t wait for more!! I liked everything about it. Unlikely romance but great chemistry!! This author has great talent!!
