Couldn’t put it down as it was always changing and adding new information or a twist. Loved it!!

The mystery was very twisty and I did not figure it out….which I absolutely love!! I also love the writing, and descriptiveness, and the atmosphere. I could visualize everything in this novel, which is something I love about the authors books. The suspense made me hold my breath at times…..so good! And, I loved the family themes, which warmed my heart and made me cry! Can’t wait for her next! I’ve read and loved them all!

The best book I’ve read in a very long time!!

Secrets are slowly revealed in this thriller. The drought has hit Mirror Lake and with the shrinking lake it gives up secrets hidden for many years. Hazel returns home for her father’s wake, actually her stepfather. When he leaves her the family home, his sons are not happy. Hazel always thought that they were a family, but once her mother left them, things were different. Caden seemed to hate her, but Gabe she idolized. Now years later the feelings haven’t changed much and Caden thinks he should get the house. Trying to figure out why only Hazel inherits, she uncovers clues left by her father. Were the clues pointing to why her mother left and never returned? A well paced mystery thriller that had me wondering to the end who done it? Definitely a page turner!
