  • Love the story hate this translation

The typographical errors in this book are so many that even though I have never been a teacher I crave a red pen. I wanted to reconnect with a childhood favorite only to be annoyed by misspellings, Grod instead God, typos, 1 instead of I among many others. Look for another e-version, I suggest the Gutenberg Project version.
  • Great story; poor digitization

The book is a classic and remains entertaining even in modern times however, it appears that this version was not properly digitized. Periodic scrambling of letters and repeated paragraphs are the only reason my rating is not higher.

This edition contains a lot of typos. A lot. Misspellings, wrong words (like “lie” instead of “he”), one or more lines of text missing, and some lines are repeated.
  • Book Great - Version less than great

The work itself is a classic. This version seemed scanned - throughout the work there were several little typos. No big deal but kinda annoying and unbecoming of the Count.
  • Classic indeed

There is more than ample reason for this to be a classic. Who do we find in ourselves? Do we not see pieces of ourselves at different times of our life? Have we all not experienced love? Anger? Despair? And, Hope? The narrative so long ago produced remains relative regardless of time.
  • Good book but…

I really enjoyed the story but this translation was utterly terrible. There were issues with paragraphs repeating, and misspelt words,

This is one of the best books ever written. Dumas is inspired. On the other hand, this version could use a good proofreading.
  • Typing Errors

This book is free BUT it has a lot of typing errors. For example, in a lot of places “l” is scanned as “1”. This does not help when you want to find references of any name or word on the internet through the app.

Beautiful. It transported me. I read it on my phone, crazy place to read a book like this. Because of that, I was not keeping track of where I was in the novel. I kept thinking I was near the end, then another side story would develop and fascinate me. The writing was a work of art. The descriptions and characters were so intricate that you felt like you were part of the story. A true masterpiece.
