I really enjoyed this historical book. It captured so many different themes and wove them into a story that captured the heart while remembering the past.

Great historical novel with a mystery woven throughout. I couldn’t put it down. Such a great author. I’ve now read 2 other books by Harmel equally awesome.

I wanted to love this book but I just didn’t find it believable. Characters had no depth and the plot was predictable.

What a beautiful story of survival. Women are stronger and loyal to the ones they love and nurture through life. But World War 2 was a time when evil was rampant through this world all aimed at the Jews. This book is about a young mother with a need to protect her unborn child. It is about the love of soul mates. There is a beautiful story she tells to her child, her grandchild and her great grandchild . Everyone both man and woman needs to read to understand what this time in history held. We need to every ounce of our being not let this level never surface again.

Great!! A story that shows all the sacrifices these children had to live through! ♥️

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, beginning was a little slow but picked up and I couldn't stop reading!
