An amazing book that is essential for understanding the creative process and what it means to be an artist. How to overcome things too. I would highly recommend every artist of every type to read this book. In fact, I would recommend everyone to read this book. Everyone is creative and I think this book can really help everyone. Rick Rubin did an amazing job with this book. Such a great book to revisit or flip to a random page on and read. Just the right amount of information. It’s artfully written. A really wonderful read or listen. Thank you.

I could only read the first 26 pages. Whereupon I received a notice that I had finished the book. There seems to be no way to get beyond this point. Nor is there any way I can find to report the problem. A great disappointment.

I really enjoyed reading this! What Rick explores can help anyone who takes an idea from inception to completion. I thought this was thorough, organized, palatable, and engaging.

For any artist, or anyone who wishes to create art. I recommend this book over any other book I have read. I happen to know that it was developed over eight long years, after a lifetime of paying close attention, and it shows. To the author and his team. Thank you so very much for taking the time to put into words these ideas and experiences which are so intangible. In doing so you’ve given people the ability to perceive regularly what can take years of vigilance to get a glimpse of. Reading this book I have sobbed many times, not because of any explicit sadness, but because this book touches on things that are found so far within the depths of our experience. You’ve managed to pierce into the depths of my soul, Rick! And remind me.. we are a vessel. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. May God bring blessings upon you and your family. ~Ethan from Minnesota, US
