I seldom give a book five stars, but this one merited it. It was a delightful read.

J.A. Jance has never failed me! I have read all the books of JP BEAUMONT ALI REYNOLDS, and JOANNA BRADY, and loved everyone. We lived for 7 years in Alaska, so this one was especially interesting to me. I am a bit of a stickler for accuracy when I read novels based on a place I know. So I was a bit disappointed when The Glenn Highway was used as the Highway in Homer. That is the Stirling Highway. The Glenn goes north out of Anchorage, and ends there. Otherwise, all the known places were accurate to me. I really do love these series.

Finally a crime book with a believable main character and storyline. More impressive is the sense of values in the characters, it reflects how people really are emotionally and intellectually. The story also portrays an exciting believable storyline. Nothing was rushed, or over dramatized. I’ll be checking out other books by this author.

This book is an interesting and enjoyable police procedural mystery. It’s a page turner that starts slowly and builds to a crescendo of action. Thanks for writing it .
