I was extremely sadden by the way the book ended. Nora should have gone to away to medical school long before the offer from the Professor. Daniel was stupid in not realizing his feelings for Nora, what a waste of time. Nora was correct to follow her dreams to become a surgeon. The rest of the story is left to me to imagine and I wanted to read of her success is medical school.

Extremely well written. Definitely worth reading if you have any interest in the history of medicine!
