This book as the other books in the series by J R Kennedy kept me interested and wanting to read more. The action of the James Acton series is always full of action and suspense, just like the other books by J R Kennedy is great reading. Kevin
  • Miscategorized with a fraction of good and mostly hot garbage thriller

This book was absolutely not literature as it was categorized. Very deceptive. It was a mystery/thriller/hot garbage. The only part that was decent was the historical fiction part which sadly only lasted part of the book. The rest of it was action/adventure drivel that was poorly written and hard to read. I ended up having to skip a ton of bravado strong man crap from law enforcement “tough guys” as it was impossible to read it was so bad. This would have got only one star had it not been for the part that took place in the past which was interesting. I wish it would have been in the proper category so I would have never had to read it.

As always, great character development and it was easy to believe.
