I couldn’t put this book down. I’ve never heard of etiology or teleology before, but, recently, I’ve noticed that people these days almost seem to “worship” the events in their life that impacted them negatively, and in doing so, never seem to be able to move on from them. That is to say that all of one’s actions are based upon negative circumstances from the past and if anyone tries to convert you away from your beliefs about the past, or minimize its importance in your life now, you’ll likely react with disgust and anger. This book shines a light on an alternative way of viewing the world. I believe it is a much healthier, wiser, and easier way of living than what is being promoted today.

I looked for a book over years that would help me in my personal struggles of being myself. This book helped me in that and much more. So much wisdom in this one book, I refer to it at least once every few weeks and read passages which I did not derive the full knowledge from. It is slightly difficult to understand the concepts sometimes, but stick with it and reread. The writing format is also genius and leads to a highly engaging read. Highly recommend to everyone.

Amazing! Mind-blowing in the simplicity of how we get ourselves in more trouble than we need to going through life. Pick it up if you want to know how to create more happiness today. ✨✨

I thought the book did a great job at exposing a lot of our subconscious personalities that we are not aware of on a day to day basis. Like the need to argue and be right in irrelevant matters. But some of the point of view of the philosopher was not argued thoroughly by the student. One of which was his theory of living in the moment. As I expected, he provided a world view that one can only choose now or the future. Never does it cross the student’s mind to ask why not both? That’s my only gripe with this book. I felt like some of the topics could’ve been argued more thoroughly. I understand that would’ve made the book much longer. I felt like some of the position of the student were very amateur and could’ve been left out. Overall, I think it’s a good read but not a final blueprint on how one should live their life. Free advice is only free until you act on it. That’s when it will cost you. So take this book with a grain of salt.
